Temporarily Inadequate

We're supposed to be happy with who we are.
You know, not look to others for how we see and feel about ourselves.
Which we all do, right?
We go non-chalantly about our lives without giving a flying fuck about how anyone sees us. As long as we don't smell bad or scare children, no one minds, right?

So, why did seeing you seem so unnerving? We're chatting, smiling, reconnecting...and what is running through my head is "Is my breath bad?", "Did I have to wear this shirt?" and "Please, dear gods, don't let a zit appear on my face!"

You haven't changed. You're still sweet. You're still kind. You're still beautiful.

Will you think I'm good enough?
